Taylor Hickman Kinker serves as the Associate Athletics Director & Chief of Staff for the Big Green Scholarship Foundation at Marshall University.
Taylor is responsible for the oversight and execution of all Big Green events and management of the day-to-day activities in the Big Green Scholarship Foundation, including banquets, tailgates, lunches and events geared toward driving capital projects and championship funds.
In addition to those duties, Kinker also cultivates relationships for the Big Green Scholarship Foundation while coordinating donor development efforts within the foundation, which includes informational flow between the foundation and its members.
Prior to being named Associate Athletics Director and Chief of Staff, Taylor served as Associate A.D. for Capital Campaigns and Signature Events and was previously the Director of Events and the M Club. In addition to the responsibilities above, she continues to be oversee events such as the Endowment Dinner, The Big Green at The Greenbrier, team-specific fundraisers, student-athlete banquets, chapter events, luncheons, V.I.P. receptions, away game and post season tailgates.
As the director of the M Club she is charged with conducting the annual membership drive, former player and team specific reunions and the general correspondence for all former athletes, coaches, managers and trainers.
Born and raised in Huntington, she began her career in college athletics in 2010 working in video services for Marshall Football. While on scholarship she filmed practices and games - both home and away - and produced highlights for the coaching staff.
After graduating with her undergraduate degree in Sports Management, she began working in the business office for the Associate Athletic Director for Finance. There she was able to observe the creation of football and basketball contracts, as well as assisting with the formation of the working budgets for multiple sports.
In 2016, Taylor transitioned her talents to the development side of the house when she became a graduate assistant for the Big Green, where, after key events, she found her passion for event management.
After obtaining her Masters in Sport Administration in May of 2017, she was hired as the Big Green’s first full-time events coordinator, and since then has been promoted five different times.
Taylor and her husband, Seth, were married in July 2024. She enjoys fitness, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
