Men's Soccer Struggles Against West Virginia, Falls 3-0

Morgantown, W.Va.-The Marshall University men's soccer team fell to West Virginia University 3-0
Wednesday night at the Mountaineer Soccer Complex.

The loss drops Marshall's record to 8-4-0 while WVU moves to 4-8-0.

Chin Orih got the first score of the night with his seventh goal of the season in the 31st minute.

WVU stretched its lead to 2-0 on a goal by Roberto D'Uillse just before halftime. On the play, Nick Burke bounced the ball in the middle to Orih who slid the ball to D'Uillse cutting down the left side towards the net.

The Mountaineers scored early in the second half to make it 3-0 on a goal by Burke.

West Virginia held Marshall to only four shots on goal.

Marshall's Jeremy Williams made five saves in the loss.

The Thundering Herd will now travel to Lexington, Ky., to face the University of Kentucky. The match, the last of the conference season for Marshall, will take place on Sunday, October 21, at 2:00 p.m.
