Marshall Men’s Soccer Reveals 2026 Schedule

Herd hosts WVU on September 27 as part of Homecoming Weekend festivities
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Men's Soccer Head Coach Chris Grassie announced the team's 2026 schedule Thursday, which includes the renewal of the Mountain State Derby rivalry with WVU on Homecoming Weekend.
The Mountain State Derby matchup is scheduled for Sept. 27, highlighting a home slate for the nationally-ranked men's soccer team that features nine matches at Hoops Family Field.
Since 2019, Marshall has boasted an .837 winning percentage at home, which has helped propel the team to seven straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
The team also recently won its second consecutive College Spring League championship, meaning there is plenty of excitement building for the 2026 season.

The Herd's regular season home opener is scheduled for Aug. 20 against Fairfield. VCU, Utah Valley, and Eastern Illinois also come to Huntington before Marshall hosts West Virginia for the Mountain State Derby during Homecoming Weekend.
MU will also welcome Georgia Southern and JMU before closing the regular season at home against Old Dominion on November 3rd. All home game times are set for 7:15 p.m.
