Seven Marshall Soccer Student-Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Accolades

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The CSC announced its Academic All-District Teams for the 2025 NCAA Men's and Women's Soccer seasons Tuesday.
Five Herd Women's Soccer players - Fernanda Dantas, Kajsa Ekstrom, Bailey Fisher, Angel Fowler, and Larissa Ozorio earned All-District honors. Two Marshall Men's Soccer players, Larry Noel and Carl Romberg were named Academic All-District athletes.
To qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better (cannot be rounded up to 3.50). Student-athletes are to have competed in at least 90% of the team's total games played OR have started at least 66% of the team's total games played.
For the Herd women; Dantas finished 2nd in program history with 11 assists in 2025. The native of Salvador, Brazil earned SBC All-Conference Second Team.
Ekstrom earned SBC All-Conference as well for the Marshall Women's Soccer team. The native of Umea, Sweden played an impressive 1,500 minutes in 2025.
Fisher, from Hurricane, West Virginia, earned SBC All-Conference in her final season with Marshall. She ends her storied Herd career with 19 goals, tied for 3rd in program history.
Fowler, from Sutton, London, England, scored a hat trick in her final match in Huntington, earning the SBC's final weekly award in 2025Fer.
Ozorio, a Herd sophomore from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, scored a pair of goals in 2025
On the men's side; Noel, a native of Santa Cruz, Trinidad and Tobago, saw action in 20 games making three starts in his first season for the Herd, tallying three goals in 2025.
Romberg, from Werl, Northrhine Westfalia, Germany, made appearances in all 21 matches with 15 starts in his first season with the Green and White. The junior finished the season with 15 points on five goals and five assists.
