Men's Soccer Enters Final Homestand of the Year

10/29/2001

HUNTINGTON, W.Va- The Marshall University men?s soccer team will look to break a three game losing streak when they enter their final homestand of the year this week. The Thundering Herd will host Marietta (OH) College on Tuesday, October 30, at 6:00 p.m. and Mount St. Mary?s University on Saturday, November 3, at 1:00 p.m.

The Marietta match is a recent addition to the schedule. The game was added after two previously scheduled matches were cancelled due to the events of September 11, 2001. A food drive will be held prior to the match. All fans who bring a can of food to the match will be admitted at a reduced cost, $2 for adults and $1 for children.

?The added game will help us even more in preparing for the conference tournament,? head coach Bob Gray said.

Marshall, 9-6-0, finishes the regular season at home against Mount St. Mary?s. Admission to the Senior Day match is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
