Men?s Soccer Set To Take On National Power Virginia

HUNTINGTON?The Marshall men?s soccer team travels to Charlottesville, Va. Wednesday to take on the No. 18 Virginia Cavaliers in a non-conference match-up at 7 p.m. at Klockner Stadium.

The Thundering Herd is coming off a 2-0 road victory against MAC foe Western Michigan. Marshall has had little success against the Cavaliers, but much success at Klockner Stadium. In 1998, Marshall defeated Adelphi and American en route to taking the championship at the UVA Coca-Cola Classic.

The Cavaliers (4-4-0) is undefeated at home this season, defeating Rhode Island and No. 25 Kentucky. Virginia is coming off a 4-0 shut-out victory against ACC opponent North Carolina State.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools with Virginia winning the three previous match-ups, all in Charlottesville.
