Women?s Golf Finishes 15th At Western Carolina

WAYNESVILLE, NC- The Marshall University women?s golf team continued is ongoing growing process by finishing 15th at the Great Smokies Women?s Collegiate finishing with a team score of 642.
The Thundering Herd was led by Sheena Caron who finished tied for 34th, shooting rounds of 73-82. Caron finished the tournament 11-over par. Carling Dickey and Jodie Switzer finished tied at 42nd with final scores of 157. Dickey shot rounds of 80 and 77 and Switzer?s final scores were 79 and 78 to finish 13-over par.
Host Western Carolina won the team title with a final score of 586. The Catamounts Brand Anderson won the individual title, but not before breaking a school and tournament record, shooting a 66 in the first round. Anderson finished with a score of 141 for 3-under par.
The Marshall women?s golf team doesn?t return to the links until the spring season starts up in February.
