Men's Golf Finishes 14th At Duke Golf Classic

DURHAM, NC-The Marshall men?s golf team shot a final round score of 316 to finish 14th place finish at the Duke Golf Classic. The Herd shot a combined three-round score of 943 to finish last in the 14-team field.
Bard Tweel led the way for the Marshall men shooting 17-over par. Tweel had scores of 80, 75 and 78 to finish 233 and tied for 44th in the individual standings. Drew Whitten shot 18-over par to finish tied for 49th. Whitten finished with a final score of 234, shooting rounds of 80, 77, and 77.
Augusta State won the team title topping host Duke by eight strokes. Augusta State finished with a final score of 866. The Blue Devils finished with a final score of 874 followed by Illinois at 882.
Augusta?s Oliver Wilson won the individual title shooting 7-under par with a final score of 209.
