Men's Soccer Set for Showdown with West Virginia

Huntington, W.Va.-The Marshall University men?s soccer team will host in-state rival West Virginia University on Tuesday, October 29, at 7:00 p.m. in their final regular-season home match at Sam Hood Field. Admission to the clash is free.
Marshall enters the contest with a record of 7-8-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the big East Conference. MU is coming off a thrilling 6-5 victory over Northern Illinois, a game they trailed 5-2 with just 25 minutes remaining.
The Mountaineers enter the contest with a record of 4-9-2 and are coming off of a 1-0 victory over Seton Hall in overtime.
WVU leads the all-time series over Marshall 13-5-1 including a 3-0 win last year in Morgantown, WV. However, the teams have split the last six meetings, with Marshall?s last win coming in 2000 with a 2-1 victory.
Marshall will finish the season when they travel to Dayton, Ohio, to take on Wright State University on Friday, November 1, at 7:00 p.m. before hosting the Mid-American Conference tournament on November 8th and 10th. Tickets to the MAC Tournament are now on sale through the Marshall ticket office and are ten dollars per day for adults and five dollars per day for students and children.
