Men's Soccer Opens Home Conference Slate Against Buffalo

HUNTINGTON--The Marshall men?s soccer team will take on the University at Buffalo 1 p.m. Sunday at Sam Hood Field in their first game of a three game home stand.

Marshall (4-5, 1-0) opens its home conference slate after losing to No. 18 Virginia 3-0 in Charlottesville, Va. Wednesday. Buffalo is 3-5 overall and 0-1 heading into its game with the Thundering Herd. In their last match, the Bulls lost to Bowling Green 3-0.

Marshall?s Byron Carmichael enters the contest with 102 career points, second on the all-time list, trailing only Andy Zulauf who holds the career mark with 105 points.

Mike Peplinski leads the Bulls with three goals and seven points on the season.

Marshall leads the all-time series against the Bulls 4-1, but Buffalo broke a four game losing streak last season beating the Thundering Herd 3-2 at Buffalo.
