Men's Soccer Match with West Virginia Cancelled

Huntington, W.Va.-The Marshall University men?s soccer match with West Virginia University scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, at 4:00 p.m. has been cancelled due to weather. The game will not be re-scheduled.

The cancellation means Marshall finishes the regular season with a record of 7-9-0 overall, and 3-2-0 in the Mid-American Conference.

Marshall, the third seed in the MAC Tournament, will open post-season play on Friday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. against sixth seeded Northern Illinois at Sam Hood Field. Earlier in the year, Marshall rallied from a 5-2 deficit to defeat the Huskies 6-5.

Other matches to be played in the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament at Sam Hood Field include second-seeded University of Akron against seventh-seeded Western Michigan University and fourth-seeded University at Buffalo against fifth-seeded University of Kentucky.

Admission to the MAC Tournament is ten dollars per session for adults and five dollars for students and children. The semi-finals will take place on Sunday, November 10, at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
