Byron Carmichael Selected to Play in adidas MLS Soccer Combine

12/13/2002

Huntington, W.Va.-Marshall University men?s soccer forward Byron Carmichael has been selected to participate in the 2003 adidas MLS Player Combine in Fort Lauderdale, FL, from January 12th to January 14th, 2003. Carmichael was one of only 40 players selected to attend the event, which leads up to the MLS Draft on January 17th, 2003, in Kansas City, MO.

Carmichael recently finished his career as Marshall?s career leader in points (127) and goals scored (58). Both marks are career Mid-American Conference records as well.

The field of players was determined by a select panel of Division I college coaches in conjunction with representatives of MLS coaches. The select group will splint into three teams and participate in a round-robin tournament with the United States Under-20 National Team.
