Tennis Starts MAC Play in Weekend Homestand

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? The Marshall University tennis team will open Mid-American Conference play this weekend when it hosts MAC rivals Buffalo and Akron.

On Friday, March 22 the Herd (#62 in the latest national rankings) will play host to Buffalo at 1:00 pm and Duquesne at 4:00 pm. Both matches will be held indoors at the Huntington Tennis Club in Barboursville.

Marshall will then take on UNC-Charlotte Saturday, March 23 at 9:00 am at the indoor club. At 1:00 pm the Herd will compete against Akron at Marshall University on the tennis courts located behind the Cam Henderson Center.

The Herd is currently 6-4 overall.
