Golf Team Struggling at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Marshall University?s men?s golf team is in last place after two rounds at Ohio State University?s Kepler Invitational.

The Thundering Herd shot a 311 in Friday?s first round and a second round high 310 Saturday to post a two round total of 621. UNLV leads the tournament heading into Sunday?s third and final round with a 576. The Rebels posted back to back rounds of 288 and hold a three stroke lead over Colorado.

Purdue?s Lee Williamson enters the final round as the individual leader after shooting rounds of 71 and 68 to post a three under par 139 and establish a four stroke lead over Clark Corbett of UNLV and Kane Webber of Colorado.

Marshall?s top individual through the first two days is senior Aaron Williams. The New Boston, Ohio, native is tied for 44th at 151 after recording rounds of 73 and 78.
