Men's Golf Signs Ben Minyard

Huntington, W. Va.--Marshall University Director of Golf Joe Feaganes has announced that Ben Minyard has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Herd?s men?s golf program.
Minyard, from Avondale, Arizona, just completed his sophomore season at Glendale (Ariz.) Community College. The Gauchos finished seventh at the National Junior College Championships, while individually, Minyard finished tied for 28th. He was a first team all-conference member in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) for the 2001-02 season. Minyard was the medalist in the Phoenix College Invitational and tied for 11th at the Western Arizona Amateur. In his career, he had nine top ten finishes in junior college tournaments and a 72.6 scoring average.
The son of Jerry and Susan Minyard, Minyard will major in Business Management.
