Herd Wins Two of Three in Softball Exhibition

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The Marshall University softball team won two out of three games to open up its exhibition fall schedule on Saturday at Dot Hicks Field.
As the host team, the Herd kicked off the Marshall Fall Classic against Morehead State University at 10:00 a.m. and fell 6-4 in a hard fought contest. MU then faced the Redwomen of Rio Grande University at 2:00 p.m., winning that contest 4-3. In the nightcap Marshall got a rematch with the Eagles of Morehead and came out on top 3-0.
The Thundering Herd will continue its fall slate Saturday, October 5th as they travel to Lexington, Kentucky to take on the University of Louisville at 1:00 p.m. and the University of Kentucky at 5:00 p.m.
