Curtis Head Named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Marshall University punter/placekicker Curtis Head has been named the Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete of the Week following his performance in the Thundering Herd's 26-21 victory over Central Florida on Friday night at MU Stadium.
Head was also named the MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts.
Head was true on field goals from 41 and 22 yards as well as averaging 40.7 yards on six punts. He pinned UCF inside its own 20 yard line twice and recorded touchbacks on three of his kickoffs.
Head, a senior from Shelbyville, Ky., carries a 3.78 GPA and is pursuing a degree in physical education (K-12).
