Cross Country Teams Open Season With Good Showing at Kentucky

VERSAILLES, Ky.?Stephanie Eastman finished 9th to pave the way for the Marshall women while Eric Anderson place 12th to set the pace for the men at the Woodford Cross Country Trial in Versailles, Ky. hosted by the University of Kentucky.
Eastman finished with a time of 12 minutes and 39.00 seconds as she led Marshall to a third place finish out of three teams at the event. Other placers for the Herd were Shelby Pride, 14, Sarah Corley, 18, and Marion Brooks, 20.
Anderson?s time of 17 minutes and five seconds led the way for the men?s third place finish out of three teams. Greg Howard and Jason Pyles were the next highest placers for the men at 14th and 15th respectfully.
Both the men and women?s cross country team will be back in action this weekend when they host Mid-American Conference rival Ohio University in a dual meet.
