Women's Golf Team Set to Begin Play

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Marshall University?s revived women?s golf team will see its first intercollegiate action when it takes part in the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic at Bay Tree Golf Plantation Friday through Sunday.

The 54-hole tournament, that features 35 teams from across the country, will be broken down into three rounds of 18 holes. The first round will be played Friday with round two Saturday and the third round Sunday. The tournament will be played on the par 72, 5,903-yard Green Course at Bay Tree and is hosted by the College of Charleston.

The tournament will be collegiate debut for Marshall?s entire squad that is composed entirely of freshmen. Marshall?s squad consists of Sheena Caron (Bolt, W.Va./Liberty High), Carling Dickey (New Castle, Ind./Chrysler High), Andrea Prola (Joliet, Ind./Joliet Central High), Jodie Switzer (Collingwood, Ont./Collingwood Collegiate Institute), and Katie O?Neal (Glen Jean, W.Va./Oak Hill High).
