Women's Tennis to Play in Minnesota Court Classic

Huntington, W.Va.-Looking to end a three match losing skid, the Marshall University women?s tennis team travels to the University of Minnesota for the annual Minnesota Court Classic at the Baseline Tennis Center. Marshall will face the Golden Gophers at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, in the second semifinal.
The University of Washington will meet Harvard University in the first semifinal at 11 a.m.
On Sunday, February 2, the championship and third-place matches will be held. Regardless of Saturday?s outcomes, the Thundering Herd will play at 9:00 a.m.
Marshall enters the tournament after falling to nationally ranked opponents in three straight matches. During the skid, the Thundering Herd lost to #16 William & Mary (7-0), #33 Virginia (6-1) and #14 Kentucky (7-0).
Despite the losses, Marshall remains ranked 75th in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Marshall will return home to face Middle Tennessee State University at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, at the Huntington Tennis Club.
