Marshall will take on Buffalo at home Friday.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall will play their second Mid-American Conference home game of the season on Friday, October 3 when the Bulls from the University at Buffalo visit Sam Hood Field at 7 p.m.

The Herd will look to improve on last weekend's performance, where Marshall went 1-1, notching a convincing 3-0 victory at Northern Illinois prior to falling at Western Michigan 3-1.

Sophomore Cara Hemmerich (Dublin, Ohio) emerged as the Herd?s leading goal scorer after knocking in her first career goal against NIU and backing that effort up with a goal against WMU on Sunday.

Senior Danielle Lowther (Grand Haven, Mi.) also made a big impact for the weekend. The 5?6? forward added an assist and a goal against NIU.

Marshall will then travel to Bloomington, Indiana for a non-conference matchup with the Hoosiers of Indiana University on Sunday. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
