Watts Named MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Marshall University wide receiver Darius Watts has been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week.

Watts, a senior from College Park, Ga., amassed 211 all-purpose yards on 13 touches, an average of 16.2 yards per touch, in Marshall's 41-21 win at Western Michigan Saturday. Watts caught nine passes for 170 yards and a touchdown and added 41 yards on two carries. With his performance, he extended his MAC career records to 261 receptions, 3,878 receiving yards and 44 touchdowns.

Buffalo defensive back Mark Graham and placekicker Dallas Pelz won MAC East defensive and special teams player of the week honors following the Bulls' 26-17 win over Ohio.

Bowling Green quarterback Josh Harris, cornerback Janssen Patton, and punt returner Charles Sharon gave the Falcon's a sweep of the MAC West awards following BGSU's 34-18 win over 12th ranked Northern Illinois Saturday.
