HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - The Thundering Herd men's soccer team plays two games on the road this weekend, starting Thursday night against non-conference opponent, Cleveland State.
The CSU Vikings come into the game with a record of 6-6. They have lost their last three games including a 1-0 loss to Wright State last Saturday. Marshall is 2-1 all-time against Cleveland State. The Vikings defeated the Herd in 2002, 5-2 in Lexington, Ky. at the University of Kentucky Invitational. Tonight's game starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Herd will continue their road trip this weekend when they head north on Sunday to play MAC rival Buffalo. The Bulls come into the weekend with a record of 1-8-3, 0-3-0 MAC, having lost their last five games. Buffalo beat Marshall the last two years, but the Herd still leads the series, 4-2. Buffalo beat Marshall last year in Huntington, 2-1.
