Wisconsin Tops Field at the El Diablo Women's Intercollegiate

CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla.- The University of Wisconsin finished with a two round score of 632 to take the El Diablo Women's Intercollegiate championship. The University of Evansville's Andrea Werner was the individual champion, shooting a 154 overall.
Marshall finished fourth in a tight race amongst the final three teams. Ball State University shot a 677 to take home second place. Evansville finished at 682 and Marshall shot 684.
Werner and Wisconsin's Katie Connely tied with overall scores of 154 after two rounds, but Werner came out on top with the tie breaker, shooting a 76 in the final round. Marshall's Sheena Caron finished third overall only two strokes behind the leaders.

The Marshall women will return to action on March the 29th as they head to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the College of William and Mary Spring Classic.
