Women's Tennis Defeats #59 Texas Christian University

Fort Worth, Texas-After falling 4-3 to the University of Texas at Arlington two days earlier, the Marshall University women?s tennis team won a 4-3 match by defeating No. 59 Texas Christian University. The win improves Marshall?s record to 6-6 on the year.
Marshall earned the doubles point with wins at nos. 2 and 3. Lille Nzudie and Ashley Krof defeated TCU?s Saber Pierce and Karla Mancinas 8-5 while the team of Danielle Hock and Megan Skalsky defeat Ivonne Andrads and Brenna Shackelford 8-5. The no. 1 TCU doubles tandem of junior Paty Aburto and senior Rosa Perez topped Jessica Johnson and Alice Sukner, 8-3, to earn the only Frog doubles win of the day.
The two teams split the singles points, with TCU winning the top three positions and Marshall winning at nos. 4 through 6. The Marshall victories came when Lille Nzudie defeated Iris Jaklin 6-3, 6-4, Joelle Good defeated Karla Mancinas 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 and Kroh defeated Gloriann Lopez 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Marshall will return to action on March 28, 2003, when they host conference foe the University of Akron at 1:00 p.m. at the Henderson Center Tennis Courts.
