Men's Soccer Announces 2003 Schedule

Huntington, W.Va.-Head men?s soccer coach Bob Gray announced the release of the 2003 men?s soccer schedule today. The schedule is highlighted by seven home games as well as a match against West Virginia University in Charleston, W.Va.
Other highlights of the 2003 schedule include tournaments in Birmingham, Ala., and Williamsburg, Va. The Thundering Herd will take on Birmingham Southern University and the University of Alabama-Birmingham in the UAB Tournament before traveling to Williamsburg to face William & Mary University and Old Dominion University in the William & Mary Classic.
Bowling Green State University, the defending Mid-American Conference tournament champion, and the University of Kentucky will travel to Huntington, W.Va, on October 24, 2003, and October 26, 2003, to conclude the home schedule.
The regular season will conclude with a match against rival West Virginia on November 2, 2003, in Charleston. W.Va., before the Thundering Herd travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., for the MAC Tournament.
Marshall finished 8-10 last year and advanced to the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament before falling to the University of Akron in a penalty kick shootout.
