Caron Finishes Seventh at JMU/Bonnie Hoover Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Marshall freshman Sheena Caron recorded a three-round score of 233 to finish seventh out of 90 golfers at James Madison University's Boonie Hoover Invitational.
Caron, a native of Bolt, W.Va., fired rounds of 77 and 80 Saturday and followed that with a 76 in the third and final round Sunday to finish at 233, nine strokes off the lead.
Caron's top-ten finish helped bolster Marshall to a 12th place finish as a team in the 17-team event.
James Madison, the host institution, took the team title with a 935, while Princeton's Avery Kiser took medalist honors with a 224.
