Cross Country Set to Compete in Richmond Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The Marshall University cross country teams will participate in the Richmond Invitational in Richmond, Va., on Friday. The meet will mark Marshall's third overall competition for the 2003 campaign.

Pacing the Herd this season for the men's squad is junior Craig Swisher (Bidwell, Ohio). Swisher finished 10th at the 2003 Woodford XC Trials in Versailles, Ky., and placed fourth at the Virginia Tech Invitational in Blacksburg, Va.

The women's squad is led by Stephanie Eastman (Spencer, W.Va.), who has top ten finishes in both events this season. The junior finished fifth at the 2003 Woodford XC Trials and seventh at the Virginia Tech Invitational. One step behind Eastman is senior Shelby Pride (Behel, Ohio) who has finished sixth at 2003 Woodford XC Trials and eighth at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
