DAYTON, OH -- The 2002 Atlantic 10 regular season champ Dayton remained undefeated after a 3-0 shutout of the Herd.

Marshall was unable to convert on any of their six shots on goal.

A-10 Freshman of the Week Sara West held the Herd scoreless for 45 minutes while posting one save.

Marshall junior goalkeeper Ashleigh Woods had six saves for the Herd.

Marshall kicks off their home season with a non-conference matchup against Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The game will be the first at home for first year head coach Chris Kane.

Admission is free.
