HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - After a 2-0 loss Wednesday to VMI, the Thundering Herd men's soccer team will travel to Wright State on Friday before heading home to face Buffalo on Sunday.
Marshall (7-6-2, 2-2-1 MAC) had a two-game win streak halted on Wednesday when they were shut out by the Virginia Military Institute.
The Raiders of Wright State enter the game with a 5-8-1 record. They are 2-3-1 in Horizon League play. On Sunday, Wright State played to a 1-1 tie against Wisconsin-Green Bay.
MU has a 2-4 record all-time against Wright State. In 2002, the Raiders were on the winning end of a 4-2 score. The Herd is 0-3 against the Raiders on the road.
On Sunday, Marshall will play host to Buffalo in the final Mid-American Conference game at Sam Hood Field and the final regular season MAC game for the program.
Buffalo is 7-6-1 on the season and holds a 1-3-0 record in MAC play. The Bulls are 1-6 over the last seven games, with their only win coming against Bowling Green. Last year, Marshall shut out the Bulls, 1-0, in Buffalo. The Herd leads the series, 5-2 with the two losses coming in 2001 and 2002.
