Spring Volleyball to Play at WVU on Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? Marshall University?s volleyball team will get its off-season schedule in high gear this weekend as it travels to Morgantown, W.Va., to compete in West Virginia University?s one-day spring tournament.
Marshall will take on St. Francis (Pa.) at 8 a.m. on Saturday before facing Robert Morris at 11 a.m. The morning results will influence the remainder of the tournament as pool play commences in the afternoon.
Duquesne and Youngstown State are the other Division I schools participating. Ashland, Wheeling-Jesuit and Juniata make up the rest of the field.
Marshall played exhibition matches versus UCF and Tampa last weekend in Florida.
Head coach Mitch Jacobs is pleased at his team?s early movement. ?I?m very happy to see how our offense has advanced. Amber Sims and Nickie Sanlin have been playing exceptionally well, and Katie Stein and Jen Harper have also progressed nicely.?
