NEW ORLEANS – Marshall University Volleyball senior Beatrice Ciccarelli and freshman Emma Barnett each earned All-Sun Belt Conference Honors, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Ciccarelli was named to the second team with Barnett being a third-team honoree.
 
Ciccarelli leads Marshall with 99 blocks, ninth most in the SBC, and ranks second behind Barnett in points (323) and kills (235). The native of Bologna Italy, finished the season with 10 matches in double-digit kills with seven contests of at least five blocks. Ciccarelli had a season-high 15 kills at Georgia Southern (Oct. 3) and 10 blocks against EKU (Sept. 9).
 
Barnett has been an offensive force for MU this season. The freshman leads the team in points with 365.5 and kills at 319. The Louisville, Kentucky, native registered 19 matches of at least 10 kills, including the final six contests of the season, with seven double-doubles. The freshman set a season-high of 21 kills and 21.5 points at James Madison (Oct. 10) with a season-high of 18 digs to go with 10 kills for a double-double at Georgia Southern (Oct. 3)
 
The Herd prepares for the 2025 SBC Tournament as it takes on Troy in the First Round on Thursday in Foley, Alabama, at 5:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. CST.
