WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Marshall women's golf team posted a first-round team total 318 at the par-72, 6,018-yard Ford's Colony-Marsh Hawk Golf Club today at the William and Mary Invitational. good for 9th place in the tournament. Yale University leads the tournament with a 307.
Individually for the Herd, Amber Churchill (Dublin, Ohio) is tied for 5th place with an opening-round score of 75. Allyson Hatcher (Wheeling, W.Va.) was next with a 79, followed by Tammy Mahar (Ashland, Ky.) and Meredith Crislip (Parkersburg, W.Va.) with an 81 and 83, respectively. Carling Dickey (New Castle, Ind.) was also on the course today, carding an 84.
Cindy Shin of Yale leads the tournament with a one-over 73.
The final round continues tommorrow at the Ford's Colony-Marsh Hawk Golf Club.
