Burke Spensky Named MAC Golfer Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Burke Spenksy, a senior from Huntington, W.Va., was named the MAC Golfer of the Week for his outstanding play at the Marshall Invitational, where he finished second out of 81 golfers and led the Thundering Herd to a third-place finish, its best outing of the year.

Spensky shot a 210 (68-71-71) and finished second to Ohio State golfer Kevin Hall, who shot a 54-hole record 206.

This marks the second time Marshall has claimed golfer of the week honors. Freshman Shawn Warren claimed the award for his stellar play at the El Diablo Intercollegiate on March 20-21.

This is the first-ever golfer-of-the-week award for Spensky.
