HAMILTON, Ohio - The Marshall women's golf team participates in the Mid-American Conference Championships this weekend at the par 72, 5,977-yard Walden Ponds Golf Course in Hamilton, Ohio.
First-round tee times begin at 8 a.m. on Friday morning, with the Herd's start coming around 9:30 a.m. Allyson Hatcher (Wheeling, W.Va.), Amber Churchill (Dublin, Ohio), Tammy Mahar (Ashland, Ky.), Carling Dickey (New Castle, Ind.), and Stacy Wagner (Harmony, Pa.) will tee it up for Marshall in the three-round event. MU's MAC Championship roster includes four freshman and only one sophomore (Carling Dickey).
Kent State is the reigning MAC champ, after they won last year's tournament at the same venue by 37 strokes. Ball State, Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Ohio, Toledo, and Marshall all are playing to knock off the Golden Flashes.
