Football Game Day Activities, Giveaways Announced

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? Marshall University football fans in attendance at this Saturday?s 2004 season-opening contest versus Troy University at 4:30 p.m. will have more than gridiron memories to take with them from the game as there will be plenty of free giveaways at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
The first 10,000 fans at the game will be given a pair of ThunderStix, sponsored by Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield and St. Mary?s Medical Center. Schedule magnets, courtesy of West Virginia Chrysler & Jeep Dealers, will be distributed to the game?s first 5,000 fans.
Thundering Herd quarterback Stan Hill is the featured player on the game program and a Dick?s Sporting Goods coupon will be inserted into each program sold. Also in the game day publication will be an audio CD revisiting Marshall?s historic win over then No. 6-ranked Kansas State in 2003. Huntington Internal Medicine Group will serve as the game?s corporate sponsor.
Great Escape Marine will be displaying a new pontoon boat and West Virginia Dodge Dealers will exhibit their new cars and trucks at the stadium.
