Men's Golf Heads To First Energy Intercollegiate

AKRON, Ohio - The Thundering Herd men's golf team travels to the First Energy Intercollegiate at the Firestone Country Club's North Course this weekend.
Thirty-six holes will by played on Saturday, with the final 18 holes concluded on Sunday. Play begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The Firestone Country Club will be set up at par 72, 7,060 yards.
Akron, Toledo, Ball State, Bowling Green, Miami, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, the United States Military Academy, Penn State, Wright State, Kansas State, Cleveland State, Georgetown, and St. Joseph's will compete with the Thundering Herd this weekend.
Representing Marshall this weekend will be senior Brad Tweel (Huntington, W.Va.), sophomores Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine) and Brandon Katzeff (Uniontown, Pa.), and freshmen Chris Tipper (Parkersburg, W.Va.) and Trent Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va.).
Marshall finished in a tie for eighth in last year's First Energy Intercollegiate, while Xavier won the 2004 tournament with a team score of three-under, 861.
