HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The following quotes are from Marshall University head coach Mark Snyder's weekly Tuesday press conference. This Saturday Marshall will host Big-12 member Kansas State at 10:30 a.m.

"We feel very honored to have a Big 12 team coming in, realizing that when I was a kid to know that we would have a team of this magnitude coming in to Huntington no one would have believed it."

"I am especially honored that I get to coach on the other side of a guy I really respect. He is one of the coaches that as a young coach you look up to. He has done a fantastic job and they are a very well coached team. We will have our hands full on Saturday."

"They have a ton of team speed and it really jumps out at you on tape. He (Coach Snyder) obviously targets speed when he recruits and he has done it again."

"They (KSU) know what they do and they do it well. They say here it is, now come and try to stop us. They will do whatever we will allow them to do. You take this away then they come back with that. They are so well coached."

"We worked hard on trying to address our mistakes. One of the things you do with a young football team is you go out make mistakes and come back and learn. Then, you go back out make mistakes and come back and learn and before you know it you have a veteran football team."

"We are playing a very good football team. I am just like the players I learned something about myself on Thursday. I learned a little about my team, too. We came out a little lackidasical in the second half and we as coaches have to make sure that we get them ready."

"Coach Snyder is a very competitive human being. He is probably one of the most competitive persons I have ever met and I know he will have his team ready to play."

"One of the big keys on the road is you want to take the crowd out of it. Going back and taking a look at Coach Snyder and his teams you see that they play very well on the road."

"We are going to work hard on it (stopping the run) this week. One of our goals last week was to stop the run and we didn't do it in my opinion. If we don't do it this week we will see nothing else."

"It would be unbelievable (to see a sell out crowd on Saturday). I am reaching out to our community to come out and support these guys and wear your green. It has been a long time since I have been to Kansas State but I remember seeing a lot of people and a lot of purple."

"Maybe I will have more nerves this week than last. We are matching wits with a very good football staff - one of the best. We both have young teams, but it will be a great challenge."

"We want to go out and play extremely well Saturday. It is paramount that we play well. This is a national television game against a big name opponent and we want to do our best."
