HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Karim Boukhemis (Sr., Huntington, W.Va.) added to his list of postseason accolades Wednesday by earning a spot on the Conference USA Men's Soccer All-Academic Team. Boukhemis owns a 3.66 grade point average with a biology major. The all-academic team consists of 11 student-athletes that have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve on the men's soccer team.

The honor is Boukhemis' second all-league academic honor, as he also earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference laurels in 2004. He also earned Conference USA Commissioner's honor roll academic honors last year.

Boukhemis, named a Third-Team All-Conference USA selection Tuesday, scored five goals and ended with 15 for his career, tying him with Kirk Gibson (2002-05) and Shawn Sizemore (1990-93) for 10th in Marshall history. Boukhemis also had two assists this season, including the assist on the game-winning goal in the upset victory over then-No. 11 South Carolina.
