HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall men's soccer player Karim Boukhemis (Sr., Huntington, W.Va.) has been selected to participate in the 2007 adidas Major League Soccer Player Combine Jan. 5-8, 2007, at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Boukhemis is one of 58 seniors from NCAA Division I schools who will compete in the combine.

Boukhemis was a third-team All-Conference USA pick in 2006 after leading Marshall in goals (5), points (12) and shots (40). He finished his career at Marshall in 10th place all-time with 15 goals.

The coaching staffs and general managers from all 13 MLS teams will be in attendance to scout talent at the combine, which concludes four days before the 2007 MLS SuperDraft. The draft will be held Jan. 12, 2007, in Indianapolis. The initial list of players for this year's combine was determined by a panel of Division I college coaches representing all conferences who nominated and voted for players in conjunction with MLS coaches.

The combine will separate all players into four teams and feature doubleheaders at Lockhart Stadium on Jan. 5, 6 and 8. Each team will be coached by one of the following four college coaches: John Trask (Illinois-Chicago), John Rennie (Duke), Mike Noonan (Brown) and Greg Andrulis (George Mason). Players will arrive Jan. 4 and participate in organizational training sessions that same afternoon.
