Herd Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season at Middle Tennessee Saturday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Thundering Herd tennis team wraps up its regular season Saturday morning against the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders at 10 a.m. in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

The Herd comes into the match with a record of 17-6 on the year and MTSU is 7-12 overall coming into a Friday match against UAB.

Marshall has won four-straight coming into the match and has moved up to No. 55 in the latest ITA poll. The Herd is 4-0 all-time against Middle Tennessee including a 7-0 win last season in Huntington.

The Herd is led by Kellie Schmitt and Lynzee Kever. The No. 1 doubles duo is ranked No. 35 in the nation. Schmitt leads the Herd in singles from the No. 2 spot. The freshman has a record of 18-4 on the season in singles play.

The match is set for a 10 a.m. start and is the Herd's last before heading into the Conference USA tournament next week in Dallas, Texas.
