Billingy Takes C-USA Offensive Player of the Week Award

IRVING, Texas - Monday, Marshall University's Kelly-Anne Billingy was honored as this week's Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week.
She hit .347 with 54 kills as the Thundering Herd won the ECU Classic and grabbed a league win in the process over East Carolina. Billingy was named the tournament's MVP after leading the team to a 3-0 week.
Billingy led the Herd last week averaging 6.0 kills in nine games, for a total of 54, on a .347 hitting percentage (54-20-98). The junior also registered seven aces and was third on the team in digs with 23, good for a 2.56 per game average. She posted a double-double against C-USA foe East Carolina and was named MVP of the ECU Classic, while leading Marshall to a 3-0 record and the ECU Classic Championship. The honor is Billingy's fourth overall weekly honor since Marshall joined the league last year.
