Herd Volleyball Ready to Take on Miners

EL PASO, Texas - The Marshall University volleyball team will be taking to the court for its second Conference USA match of the season. The Thundering Herd (9-6, 1-0 C-USA) will be taking on the UTEP Miners (4-9, 0-0 C-USA) at 7 p.m. EST. Friday.

Marshall is coming into the UTEP match winning four straight, most recently a 3-0 victory Tuesday over West Virginia. The Herd and Miners have met three times previously. The first meeting between the two schools came in 1997 and was the Miners' lone victory of the series.

Herd outside hitters Stephanie Cahill and Kelly-Anne Billingy have been double trouble for opponents over the past four games. Cahill has accumulated three double-doubles and Billingy one.

Setting things up offensively has been Christin Bimberg, who has put up 152 assists for a 13.82 assists per game average.
