Billingy Takes C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Marshall University's Kelly-Anne Billingy was honored again this week with Conference USA's Offensive Player of the Week. This is Billingy's fifth Player of the Week honor and second straight.

Billingy led the Herd last week with a .421 attack percentage and 80 kills. The junior averaged 6.67 kills per game and 2.50 digs per game as Marshall defeated intrastate rival West Virginia and conference foe UTEP.

In Marshall's lone loss to Tulane, Sunday on CSTV, she led all players with 30 kills and added seven aces and nine digs. The native of Trinidad had a second 30-kill performance on the week and notched her third double-double of the season against UTEP with 30 kills and 17 digs. Look for Billingy to appear near the top of the NCAA rankings in individual kills per game this week at 6.34.

The Herd's next match will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 at Tulsa.
