Men's Golf To Play At UTSA Intercollegiate

SAN ANTONIO - The Thundering Herd men's golf team will be one of 17 teams competing at the 12th Annual University of Texas-San Antonio Intercollegiate this Monday and Tuesday. The 54-hole tournament will take place on Feb.19-20 at Oak Hills Country Club (6,691 yards/par 71), with the first 36 holes being played Monday and the final 18 holes being played on Tuesday.
The field will consist of 17 teams, including 11 from last year's field and defending champion Baylor. Teams participating in this year's intercollegiate are Air Force, Arkansas State, Baylor, DePaul, Illinois State, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, McNeese State, Miami (Ohio), New Orleans, Northern Iowa, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Texas-Pan American and UTSA.
Playing this week for the Thundering Herd is senior Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine), juniors Jonathan Pepe (McKeesport, Pa.) and Trent Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va.), sophomore Nathan Kinker (Barboursville, W.Va.), and freshman Christian Brand (Charleston, W.Va.).
