WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. - The Marshall women's golf team finished the 32nd annual Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on Tuesday in ninth place (983), with senior Amber Churchill (Dublin, Ohio) finishing in a tie for 22nd place (236). Host Rollins College won the event with a score of 910 while Nova Southeastern's Maria Garcia Austt claimed medalist honors with a 215.

Marshall improved one position with today's play following Monday's opening 36 holes. Churchill and fellow senior Allyson Hatcher (Wheeling, W.Va.) each fired a team-high 9-over 81 on Tuesday. Hatcher was MU's next highest finisher after Churchill in a tie for 32nd place.

Stacy Wagner (Harmony, Pa.) enjoyed the next best day for Marshall with a final-round 83. Wagner placed 47th (251) while junior Whitney Wolejko (Hatfield, Mass.) shot a 262 for the tournament followed by Tammy Mahar (Ashland, Ky.) with a 267.

Kentucky's Erica Still and Methodist's Katie Dick tied for second place (221). Rollins' highest finisher was fourth-place Vanessa Vela (222).

Marshall will play in the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va., in its next tournament on March 24-25.
