Men's Golf To Participate In Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. - The Thundering Herd men's golf team will compete in the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, a 54-hole tournament that begins Sunday, at Pinehurst #8.

Seventeen teams will compete with Marshall at the three-day tournament: Ball State, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Marquette, Michigan, Ole Miss, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, North Florida, Northern Illinois, Penn State, SMU, Toledo, VCU, Western Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Competing for the Thundering Herd is reigning C-USA golfer of the week, Christian Brand (Charleston, W.Va.), Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine), Jonathan Pepe (McKeesport, Pa.), Trent Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va.), and Chris Tipper (Parkersburg, W.Va.). Andy Foster (Vinton, Va.) will compete for Marshall as an individual.

The first 18 holes of the tournament begins on Sunday. Eighteen holes will also be played on Monday and Tuesday.
