LaCrone Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Marshall University senior forward Kolby LaCrone (Zanesville, Ohio) was named C-USA Offensive Player the Week for his performance during the week of Oct. 13-19.

LaCrone scored two goals in two crucial conference victories including a game winning goal at No. 24 SMU Sunday. His other goal came against FIU, Wednesday, at home.

Wednesday's goal against FIU marked LaCrone's first of the 2008 season. He was able to score off a rebound shot by using his chest to get past the FIU goalkeeper. He finished the contest with four shots on goal.

LaCrone's second goal of the season came against SMU just 1:13 into the contest when he was able to knock in a loose ball around the net. Great defense allowed the Thundering Herd to hold on for a 1-0 win.
