Men's Soccer Hosts South Carolina in Home Finale

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University men's soccer team will play its final home game of the 2008 season as they host South Carolina on Senior Night, Saturday Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Sam Hood Field.
The Thundering Herd is currently on a two-game winning streak and coming off a victory over nationally ranked SMU, 1-0. The Gamecocks enter the contest on a three-game winless streak last losing to Memphis Oct. 17, 2-0.
Saturday's game marks the fourth meeting between the two teams and the second time that South Carolina will travel to Huntington. Marshall leads the series 2-1.
Senior Kolby LaCrone (Zanesville, Ohio) has emerged late for the Herd this year scoring a goal in each of the last two contests, including the game winner at SMU.
The Gamecocks are led by scoring threat Sam Arthur who has 10 goals in 13 games with three assists in his second season with South Carolina.
Ten minutes prior to game time the 2008 senior class will be honored. The first 150 fans to the game will receive a Herr's product. For those who cannot make the trip to Huntington, live coverage of the game can be heard on WMUL 88.1 FM and on their web stream at http://www.marshall.edu/wmul.
