Furman Intercollegiate Round 1 Results Get Acrobat Reader

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Marshall University men's golf team concluded the first round of the three-day Furman Intercollegiate on Friday in 24th place after shooting a 320. UT-Chattanooga paces the field with a 1-under par 287 at the par-72, 6,800-yard Furman University Golf Course.

The Thundering Herd's Trent Schambach (75), Christian Brand (78) and Bennett Boyer (78) were the Marshall golfers to card a round in the 70s on Friday. Schambach is in a tie for 42nd place while Boyer, playing as an individual, and Brand are in a tie for 83rd.

UTC's Jonathan Hodge fired a 3-under 69 in round one to take a one-stroke lead into Saturday's second round over Francis Marion's Peter McGibney (70).

Rounds two and three will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
